Beaches

Summit Chorale - An auditioned chorus of fine singers, both studied and volunteer, who sing an array of choral literature from times past and present, in hopes of inspiring and challenging both singer and audience. In a three to four concert season, our aim is to sing all styles of literature which can attract younger listeners to come hear live singing, and provide experienced listeners a reason to return to the choral art.

Union County Arts Center - Union County Arts Center is housed in the restored Rahway Theatre. The Center offers a variety of live theater, musicals, events and concerts.

Reeves Reed Arboretum - Trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants are conserved and identified in their natural settings for study and appreciation. Native flora, new plant introductions and unusual specimens that can be grown in this region are also on display.

The Montclair Art Museum - Since its inception in 1913, The Montclair Art Museum has been dedicated to the collecting, preserving and exhibiting of high quality American and Native American art. The Museum?s collections comprise more than 15,000 works in a variety of media.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - Medieval Times offers a dinner and show featuring Knights on horseback, swordplay and authentic jousting tournaments.

Sports World Family Entertainment Center - Indoor amusement park featuring state-of-the-art laser tag, Venturer Simulator Motion Theater, multi sport stadium with 5 exciting sports and 10 challenging games. For children, ages 1-7 the center feature Wonder World, a riding, climbing, sliding, swinging colorful maze. There are over 200 rides, games, miniature golf, bowling, bumper cars, and much more.

Newark Museum - The Newark Museum the largest in New Jersey. The museum features 80 galleries of art and science, a mini zoo, planetarium, gift shops, cafe, auditorium, sculpture garden, schoolhouse and the Ballantine House, a restored 1885 mansion.

The Hermitage - The Hermitage, a National Historic Landmark, is located on 4.9 acres of lawn shaded by centuries-old trees. The site is on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places. The Hermitage offers a variety of theater productions, tours, programs, events, workshops and more.

Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum - The Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum is committed to bringing awareness to issues facing the natural world and to showcasing the artists who are inspired by it.

Displayworld / Stone Museum - The Stone Museum exhibits a breathtaking array of minerals, fossils and fluorescent rocks that entrance thousands of visitors each year.

Discovery House - Discovery House is a hands-on museum featuring over 100 activities to delight and inspire kids of all ages. Together, children, their families and teachers can share in the joys of discovery, imagination and play in a variety of spaces set in fun-filled themes.

Zimmerli Art Museum - Located at Rutgers University, the Zimmerli Art Museum features Russian historical art, a painting and sculpture collection, children?s literature collections, stained glass and a variety of exhibitions throughout the year.

The New Jersey Children?s Museum - The New Jersey Children's Museum features over thirty different exhibits, in 15,000 square feet, each designed for specific groups.

arrowAviation Hall Of Fame And Museum Of New Jersey - The Museum's mission is focused on preserving New Jersey's 207 Year Aviation Heritage. The museum displays a variety of aircraft, artifacts, and photographs.

Greater Atlantic City


Batsto Historic Village - Batsto Village, now a part of Wharton State Forrest, was established in the late 1700's as a bog iron and glass making industrial center (1766 - 1876). Currently it reflects the agricultural and commercial enterprises that existed at the site in the late 19th century. Batsto Village also offers a Museum and Gift Shop.

Gillian's Wonderland Pier - Gillian's Wonderland Pier offers a wonderful collection of rides, slides, and attractions located in Ocean City.

Lenape Park & Carousel - Lenape park boasts a clean sandy beach with calm and clean waters of beautiful Lake Lenape for swimming, boating, tubing and water skiing, shaded Picnic and BBQ areas, covered pavilions, amusement rides, covered miniature golf, playground emporium and lots of court sports including: volleyball, basketball, tennis, horseshoes and softball.

Marine Mammal Stranding Center - The Marine Mammal Stranding Center is responsible to rescue, rehabilitate, and release stranded or otherwise distressed marine mammals (whales, dolphins, and seals) and sea turtles that come ashore along the New Jersey coast. Visitors can watch as professionals tend to the animals as well as visit the museum and gift shop which are housed in a 1930's era coast guard station boat house.

Wheaton Village - Wheaton Village is a large cultural arts center which features various glass and craft demonstrations, a museum, stores and a half-scale model stationed at the restored 1880 Palermo train station which takes visitors on a scenic ride through the Pinelands.

Tuckerton Seaport - Tuckerton Seaport is dedicated to preserving, presenting and interpreting the rich maritime history, heritage, and environment of the Jersey Shore and the unique contributions of its Baymen.

Towne Of Historic Smithville - The Towne of Historic Smithville is a quaint little town in southern New Jersey, near Atlantic City, where the sounds of yesteryear are very much alive. Walk along the cobblestone and brick paths and return to the 1700's. There are over 60 fine shops and several fine restaurants.

Storybook Land - Storybook Land offers 20 acres of great family entertainment. The timelessness of childhood will ring true as your family literally walks through its all-time favorite stories and nursery rhymes at Storybook Land.

arrowRipley's Believe It Or Not Museum - Ripley's Believe it or not Museum houses strange and unusual exhibits from Robert Ripley?s travels. The Museum also features a variety of films and an interactive funhouse.

arrowThe Noyes Museum Of Art - Building upon the core of the Fred and Ethel Noyes Collection, the museum collects, preserves and exhibits, American fine art, crafts and folk art with an emphasis on New Jersey artists and folk art forms, reflecting the area's long traditions, landscape and culture.

arrowAtlantic Contemporary Ballet Theatre - The ACBT has been in existence since 1982 and performs extensively in the Atlantic City area at the Casino-Hotels and colleges. In addition to an exciting repertoire, they present special children's performances as well as a number of lecture demonstrations in local schools.

arrowOcean Life Center - Ocean Life Center offers eight tanks totaling 29,800 gallons of aquariums, exhibiting more than 100 varieties of fish and marine animals, 10 exhibits featuring themes on the marine and maritime environment. Each exhibit features computer-enhanced information stations for self-tours in addition to a 16-station Ocean Life Education Center for personal, in-depth exploration.

arrowLucy The Elephant - A National Historic Landmark, Lucy was constructed in the late 1800's by James V. Lafferty. Standing 65 feet tall and weighting 90 tons, Lucy once served as a hotel, summer home and tavern. The structure now serves as a museum.

Monmouth Museum - A center for education and culture, and a focal point for dynamic ideas, the Museum features changing exhibitions and programs which appeal to a variety of interests. Exhibitions showcase all artistic expressions as well as cultural and scientific phenomena. The Becker Children's Wing and the WonderWing provide interactive learning for young visitors.

The Nature Center Of Cape May - The Nature Center of Cape May was founded in 1992, with the twin goals of creating a responsible stewardship program for open space surrounding Cape May Harbor and providing environmental education for people of all ages. The center offers interactive displays, games, activities and programs.

Sea Isle City - Sea Isle is known as 'The Sea and Sand Family Vacationland.' Sea Isle City has five miles of clean uncrowded beaches; a mile and a half long beachfront promenade (paved walkway), ideal for biking, jogging, and in-line skating, with shops, and arcades; free varied recreational opportunities; 'Summer Concerts Under the Stars,' a Municipal Marina and much more.

Wetlands Institute And Museum - The Wetlands Institute is uniquely housed in a cedar shake building designed to resemble a turn-of-the-century coast guard. The station is situated overlooking 6,000 acres of pristine coastal wetlands. The wetlands are a bird-watcher's paradise. Other attractions include various educational exhibits, gift shop, an aquarium, nature trails, an observation tower and marsh walks.

Museum Of American Glass - The Museum of American Glass is the largest museum in the country dedicated to preserving the history of glass made in the United States. The glass is housed in a building modeled after one of Cape May's elegant Victorian era hotels. Over 6,500 pieces from the museum's permanent collection are shown in 20,000 square feet of exhibition space.
