Central

Pennsylvania Military Museum - The Pennsylvania Military Museum is in the picturesque town of Boalsburg.  Inside the museum are numerous artifacts and dioramas illustrating military history.  Highlights range from a full-scale replica of a World War I trench battlefield, displayed uniforms and weapons along with their narrative histories and renovated military equipment.  A gift shop is located within the museum facility.

Lakemont Park - Lakemont Park is home to over 30 rides and attractions, including The Island Waterpark. Lakemont Park also features The Monster Motorway Go-karts, The Slickster Slick Track, Traintown Miniature Golf, and Spins 'n Grins Kiddieland for Lakemont's younger guests.

Packwood House Museum - Built between 1796-99, it is one of the oldest log structures of its kind in Pennsylvania. The building has evolved into a three-story edifice with 27 rooms that contain a collection of 18th- through 20th-century Americana, especially central Pennsylvanian artifacts. Included in the collection are quilts, textiles, deeds, painted furniture, paintings, glass and ceramics.

Frost Entomological Museum - The Frost Entomological Museum features an insect collection collected mostly by Dr. Stuart Frost through "The Ecological Insect Survey of Pennsylvania". After his retirement in 1957, Dr. Frost regularly collected insects from Florida which were also added to the collection. The research collection comprises over 500,000 specimens of insects representing about 10,000 species.

Knoebels - Knoebels is Pennsylvania's Hometown Park. Highlights include the Phoenix, rated one of America's ten best roller coasters, Skooter Bumper Cars, and timeless favorites like the Giant Wheel. Swigart Antique Auto Museum - The Swigart collection emphasizes the era when America was first becoming a mobile society. The collection features many rare, and in many cases, one-of-a-kind vehicles. Each car has a history that deserves taking time for recounting. Each car is a work of art that bears testimony to a nearly-forgotten era when motor carriages were built by craftsmen.

Leap The Dips - Leap-the-Dips is one of about 250 rollercoasters of its kind that were stationed in parks throughout the world. It has stood on the same site since 1902. It is also the world's oldest standing roller coaster and is the last known example of a side-friction figure eight roller coaster.

Children's Museum Of Bloomsburg - At the Children's Museum, children of all ages have fun learning in Bloomsburg's very own ""hands-on"" museum. This year they will be building the 2001 Summer Art and Science Center. Everyone will touch, hear, and see the world of science and the humanities!

Clyde Peeling's Reptiland - Giant alligators, cobras, mambas, pythons, vipers and a myriad of other reptiles and amphibians await visitors at this AZA accredited, specialized zoo. During summer months tortoises, iguanas, and birds are moved outdoors to tropic-like gardens.

Columbus Chapel And Boal Mansion Museum - The Boal Mansion has been home to nine generations and after 212 years, the original family, furnishings, and buildings are still here.  The Columbus Chapel contains the most important Columbus collection in North America -- an incredible collection of Columbus relics, fine art, and religious relics.

Little League Museum - The Peter J. McGovern Little League Baseball Museum is all about the excitement of Little League Baseball and Softball! The museum is full of pictures, displays, films and exhibits about the players, equipment, history, rules, the all-around fun of Little League and information about the youth today!

Claws 'n' Paws Wild Animal Park - Claws 'N' Paws Wild Animal Park is a ""Zoo-in-the-Woods"" where natural trails wander beneath the evergreens. Animals are in large naturalistic enclosures some of which have a glass-fronted section where you can get nose-to-nose, so to speak, with wild and beautiful creatures such as white tiger, wolf, bear, and snow leopard.

Amazing Houdini Tour And Fun Magic Show - Houdini Tours and magic shows are great fun for the family. The Houdini Museum has been called one of the most unique museums and attractions in the world. The show also includes two of the best, nationally known magicians, Dorothy Dietrich and John Bravo.

Everhart Museum - Founded by Dr. Isaiah Fawkes Everhart in 1908. Dr. Everhart held a fond interest in natural history and conceived the idea of assembling a comprehensive collection of Pennsylvania's native birds and animals. A skilled taxidermist, he started a collection of mounted specimens which soon expanded into one of the finest and largest collections in the United States.

Pennsylvania Fishing Museum - The Pennsylvania Fishing Museum at Pecks Pond houses historical fishing items of yester-year. The museum features a cross section of fishing tackle from the late 1700's to the 1950's. The ice fishing display exhibits fishing spears to working ice tip ups. You can view exhibits of rods, reels, lures, fly fishing, ice fishing, folk art and fishing art, decoys and other miscellaneous items.

Allegheny Arms And Armor Museum - Allegheny Arms and Armory Museum has a collection that consists of military vehicles, fixed wing and rotary aircraft, watercraft, tracked armor, artillery and a large assortment of military memorabilia. Some displays are changed every week so you can see something new at every visit.

Erie Zoo - The Erie Zoo is home to over 500 animals, representing more than 100 species, from around the world. Winding walkways take visitors through the beautifully landscaped grounds which feature 2500 specimens from 600 species of plants.

Waldameer Park And Waterworld - This family-fun complex combines a beautiful amusement park with one of the greatest water parks in the entire country. Offering over 75 rides, slides, and attractions, Waldameer Park & Water World is specifically designed to provide entertainment for your entire family.

Debence Antique Music Museum - Thousands of visitors, young and old, have been captivated by this incredible collection of automatic music machines spanning two centuries. Intricate, beautifully-tuned music boxes, created by nineteenth-century German and Swiss craftsmen, tinkle enchantingly in the same manner as they did one hundred years ago.

Zippo/case Visitors Center - Zippo/Case Visitors Center offers unique exhibits of Zippo lighters and Case cutlery, interactive displays, and entertaining audio/kinectic sculpture.

Erie Art Museum At Discovery Square - Erie Art Museum offers year-round programming which includes exhibitions, concerts, classes, workshops, guided tours, lectures, and special events.

Erie Maritime Museum - Erie Maritime Museum presents the story of Niagara as the reconstructed flagship of Pennsylvania and the warship that won the Battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812. Offering a wide range of multi-media and interactive exhibits and coupled with lively interpretive programs, Erie Maritime Museum vividly illustrates Niagara's history and the region's rich maritime heritage.

Watch And Clock Museum - At the Watch and Clock Museum the collection has increased to over 12,000 items and the museum since it's opening date. Today, the museum is recognized as the largest and most comprehensive horological collection in North America.

Hershey Museum - Hershey Museum is as fun and yummy as it's chocolate! You can see how they make the chocolate in Hershey, visit the exciting Discovery room, walk through the galleries and much more!

Williams Grove Amusement Park - Williams Grove amusement park is home to a classic wooden roller coaster the Cyclone, a German all-steel Wildcat coaster, and a special steel coaster for the kids.

Zoo America - Zoo America North American Wildlife Park is an 11-acre walk-through zoo which exhibits plants and animals native to five regions of North America. More than 150 animals, representing some 70 species, serve as ambassadors to provide us with a new perspective on our natural environment.

Maple Grove Raceway - Maple Grove Raceway has become one of the top NHRA race facilities in the country. Annually hosting events from March through November, Maple Grove plays host to over 400,000 spectators and participants each season. The track, which has been in operation since 1962, has one of the richest histories in the Motorsports community.

Lake Tobias Wildlife Park - Lake Tobias Wildlife Park has been fascinating patrons with its wild, exotic animals, adventure-seeking safari tours, petting zoos, and a reptile building featuring the African Ball Python, Cockatoo, Iguana, Lizards and more!

Heritage Map Museum - Heritage Map Museum displays the collection of James E. Hess in a large and beautiful facility in Lititz, PA. The new building is a fine 1200 square foot space of Gallery space featuring the fine antique maps and books. You will be able to closely examine the works of Schedel, Munster, Ortelius, Mercator, Blaeu, Hondius, and many others from the late 16th to the 19th century.

Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park - Located in the heart of PA Dutch Country, Dutch Wonderland offers 48 acres of fun.
