Texas is so large that it is a challenge to see all of it. Many visitors fly between the main cities of Dallas, Austin, and Houston, and then rent a car to get around. About 90 percent of the state's residents live in the cities. Out in the countryside, where the "real" Texas lives, facilities are few and far between.
